This Privacy Policy explains how Vikorus LLC (“Vikorus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Vikorus website at vikorus.com and our mobile and desktop applications (together, the “Services”). We build focused, privacy-respecting apps and aim to collect as little personal information as possible. This policy is designed to align with the requirements of the Apple App Store and Google Play, as well as applicable privacy laws.
1. Scope and per-app notices
Our apps differ in what they do, and therefore in what — if anything — they collect. Many of our apps work entirely on your device and do not send your personal information to us. Each app’s specific practices are described in its App Store “Privacy” details, its Google Play “Data safety” section, and any in-app privacy notice. Where an app’s specific notice differs from this general policy, the app-specific notice controls for that app.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide. If you contact us (for example, through our contact form), we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, and message, so we can respond.
Information collected automatically. Some Services collect limited technical and usage information automatically, which may include device type and operating-system version, app version, language and region, in-app events and feature usage, general performance and crash diagnostics, and coarse analytics identifiers. On the website, we may use standard server logs and privacy-respecting analytics.
Location. Certain apps (for example, live-tracking or altitude apps) use your device location to provide their core function. Location is used on-device to deliver the feature and is accessed only with your permission, which you can change in your device settings.
Purchases. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google, not by us. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We may receive limited, non-payment transaction information (such as whether a purchase or subscription is active) to deliver features you paid for.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not ask for it beyond what an app needs to function.
3. How we use information
- to provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
- to respond to your messages and provide support;
- to understand usage and fix bugs, crashes, and performance issues;
- to process and deliver purchases and subscriptions; and
- to protect the Services, enforce our terms, and comply with law.
4. Analytics and service providers
We use a small number of third-party service providers to help us operate the Services — for example, analytics and crash-reporting tools, hosting and content-delivery providers, and email delivery for our contact form. These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies and are permitted to use it only to provide their services to us. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Advertising
Some apps may display advertising provided by third-party ad networks. Where ads are shown, those networks may use device or advertising identifiers to deliver and measure ads. You can limit ad tracking through your device settings (for example, “Allow Apps to Request to Track” on iOS or “Reset/Delete advertising ID” on Android). Apps that show ads describe this in their store privacy details.
6. Children’s privacy
Our Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Apps intended for general audiences are not designed for the Google Play “Designed for Families” or Apple “Kids” programs unless expressly stated. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in a way that requires an opt-out under applicable law beyond what is described here. We may share information: with service providers as described above; to comply with law, legal process, or lawful requests; to protect the rights, safety, and property of Vikorus, our users, or the public; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will continue to protect the information consistent with this policy.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to opt out of certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can control app permissions (such as location and tracking) in your device settings at any time. Residents of California, the EEA, the UK, and other regions with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights; we honor valid requests as required by law and will not discriminate against you for exercising them. 9. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here, to provide the Services, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements — after which we delete or de-identify it. Photos, trained models, and generated images in Headshot Studio follow the shorter, app-specific retention periods described in the “Face Data — Headshot Studio” section below.
10. Face Data — Headshot Studio
Our Headshot Studio app works with photos of your face, so this section describes exactly how that data is handled. Headshot Studio collects the photos you upload solely to train a private, single-user AI image model that generates your photo packs. Your uploaded photos are deleted from our servers as soon as training completes, with a 7-day maximum retention as a safety backstop; one reference photo is kept alongside your private model so your generated photos can preserve your real likeness. The trained model, that reference photo, and your generated photos are automatically deleted within 30 days. You can also delete all of it instantly at any time in the app via Profile > “Delete My Photos & Model.”
Your face data is never used for identification, never shared with or sold to third parties, and never used to train shared or general-purpose models, and no face database is built. Photo processing uses Amazon Web Services (S3 for storage and Rekognition for upload safety checks) and fal.ai (model training and generation) as processors bound to these purposes.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the Services at your own risk.
12. International users
We operate from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you understand that your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries whose data- protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
13. Third-party platforms
The Apple App Store, Google Play, and other platforms have their own privacy practices governing account, download, and purchase data. Their handling of that data is subject to their policies, not this one.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, and the “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected in the app store listings and, where appropriate, in the app.
